#FOENYS Unite

Who are the #FOENYS? What are the #FOENYS? #FOENYS (#FOEs against eye replacing the toNY’S) are enemies CBS gained when the network decided Thursday they’ll replace the “Tony Awards” that were suppose to air on June 7 with a “Grease Sing-a-long”, but the Gods of Broadway seriously object.

In all fairness, since the Tony Awards were postponed due to COVID19 shutting down Broadway for what was suppose to be a month, but now till at least Labor Day, it’s CBS’s way of bringing the family, and especially Broadway hopefuls and enthusiasts together for a fun-filled night of show tunes as an addition to the initial return of the “CBS Sunday Night Movies”, drawing from Paramount’s film library.

All kinds of comments came from cast members of popular shows like “Dear Evan Hansen”, “Wicked”, and “Lin Manual Miranda”, all giving their own statements on the situation, saying Danny will never replace Tony, an evil eye, or finding it hysterical, hysterical that Broadway didn’t get a collective sing-a-long.

Immediately after the COVID19 lockdown went into effect, CBS and the “Academy of Country Music Awards” came together to produce “ACM: Our Country” on April 5, the night the ACM Awards were to take place, Broadway (and even Daniel plus Lauren) thoughtfully assumed that CBS would do the same thing with the Tony’s.
