10.2% drop in #unemployment, 1.8 million #jobs gained in July under #COVID19 @BLS_gov

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 1.8 million more non-farm jobs were added in July, and the unemployment rate fell even further from June, where it was at 11.1 percent, now fell 0.9 percent to 10.2 percent.

Though, both jobs and unemployment rates continued on a positive note, addendums on both ends slowed dramatically from June due to COVID19 cases rising, and states reversing or pausing their reopening efforts to stop the virus from spreading even further.

Despite notable job gains in July occurred in sectors of leisure and hospitality, government, retail trade, professional and business services, other services, and health care, who have been on the frontlines since the start of the pandemic, weekly unemployment numbers continue to be staggering, another 1.1 million filed for unemployment last week, with 55 million jobless in the past 20 weeks.
