The Broadway League, American Theater Wing, and The Tony Awards finally announced today the nominations for the 74th Annual Tony Awards which this year will be virtual thanks to the COVID19 pandemic that shutdown Broadway and everything else imaginable, but no word yet when the virtual ceremony will take place.

Nominees for Best Play are “Grand Horizons”, “The Inheritance”, “Sea Wall/ A Life”, “Slave Play”, and “The Sound Inside”; Best Musical are “Jagged Little Pill”, “Moulin Rouge: The Musical”, and “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical”; a full list of all the nominees for show, actor, actress, choreography, and music can be seen here on a text only list.

The Broadway League announced last week that Broadway would be shutdown even longer than January 3, 2021 at least, it’s now been extended to May 30, 2021, if not extended longer to even as far as 2022.
