Vote, Election TBA

Variety reported today that “The Tony Awards” will begin the voting process of what’s been an unprecedented season of short-lived run of shows, show closures, and shows never getting out of the gate due to COVID19 shutdown between March 1 and March 15, but there is still no determination of when the actual “Tony Awards” ceremony will take place, though it’s said it will occur when Broadway finally reopens.

Nominations for the “Tony’s” were announced on October 15, 2020 for the 2019/ 2020 season that started out strong, but suddenly stopped due to COVID19 back on March 12, 2020 that originally was suppose to be for 2 weeks, but is still in full effect till at least May 30, 2021, but even that date is not guaranteed with speculation of Broadway’s return this fall or early 2022.
