Where We Stand

Variety passed along Monday night that the Society Of London Theatre found that 95 percent of the 944 theatres they surveyed were worse off now after one year into the COVID19 pandemic than when the pandemic began, reporting billions of pounds lost due to lockdowns for an entire year, freelancers were forced to take alternate jobs or leave the business all together, and others are going outdoors despite losses, U.K. is reopening theatres May 17, 2021, and Netflix stepped in last August to support struggling theatres.
