The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City announced Monday that its famed Met Gala will finally return this year after being cancelled due to COVID19, it will return not only on September 18, 2021, but return again at its original date of May 2022 on May 5, 2022, where this year’s theme will be “In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion”, done in 2 parts that start with the September date.
Back on March 16, 2020 just 5 days after the coronavirus was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization, the Met Gala announced that it was postponing its event due to COVID19, and didn’t know if the prestigious event would be held in 2020, which apparently wasn’t.
