To Those In Need

At tonight’s live online event of “Night Of Covenant Stars 2021”, a benefit that supports Covenant House’s mission to fight homelessness by taking young people off the street, Nick Cordero’s wife and widow, Amanda Kloots, noted how the past year with the COVID19 pandemic has not made it any easier for those without a home, or those who lost a loved one to COVID.

Amanda also told the story of how Nick invited youth staying at Covenant House who saw him at his show, “Bullets Over Broadway”, backstage to talk with them and take pictures with them, displaying the caring generosity that Amanda’s late husband, Nick, showed to these youth without a home, but found one at Covenant House, where youth are giving 3 meals over the course of 24 hours, plus a bed to sleep in that makes them feel safe.

Following Amanda’s story about Nick and Covenant House, a musical number was sung called “Remember Me”, a poignant song and dance performance to remember the efforts and contributions left by Nick Cordero before leaving this Earth.
