What is Curve New York?
A trade show at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC that took place February 27 thru March 1, 2022 and is all about lingerie and control garments.
Every woman wants to look her best no matter what size or shape she is.
The vendors showed many new styles in shapewear that hold you in without constricting movement of the body.
Gone are the days of constrictive girdles with plastic or metal stays.
Today’s shapewear is made of lycra and spandex and stays down with a silicone strip around the edge of the panty leg.
Styles range from full panty, shorts to the knee, leggings, bodysuits and all in one (shorts with longline bra attached) to hold you in.
Fashion is moving towards tighter fitting styles so you will need to wear shapewear to look good, especially under that new tight mini skirt you’ve been dying to wear.
Cutouts in tops and dresses are Spring/Summer 2022 new trend that calls for the braless look.
Most of us need a bra to hold our breast up so what can we use instead?
So many vendors offer variations of shape tape, adhesive nipple covers and 1/2 bras held on with adhesive tape.
As a stylist, I loathe to see women with their bra showing off in a cutout dress.
Sometimes I go up to the young women in the street, party and club and say “hey did you ever hear about the new ways to hold up your breast without wearing a bra?”
Many say they didn’t know about such an item even though in NYC the ads for this are in the subway stations and sides of the NYC buses.
Well later in my blog I am going to show you about a revolutionary new item that holds up even size E cups.
