In true Negris Lebrum fashion, this Houston, Texas native collection proudly proved why it’s walking at NYFW, going back to its roots starting from scratch, and emphasizing black in most of its dresses, sweaters, and pantsuits, but what Negris fell in love with this season is the color of red, which could be the new black in many respects, plus a multiple color palate in a few pieces that are psychedelic at first glance, but toned down for the mature and advancing 1960’s into into 2022.

The key takeaway to Negris Lebrum SS23 was adding black and white to their already line of staples such as shorts, sweaters, and dresses also transitional from Winter to Spring, as well as Spring to Summer requiring cooler fabrics, you can also see sequin gray, silver, gold, and black in this back to basics collections, as well as pantsuits and blazers being the focal point of this SS23 edition of back to basics, also celebrating the idea of being normal again post-COVID-19 pandemic.

The already storied history of Negris Lebrum, the collection, has played a pivotal roll at New York Fashion Week, advancing from its early days of t-shirts on the catwalk, to a fully robust collection that emphasizes the basics, but are not just the basics, they are super-enhanced to be something extraordinarily special, just because of the colors, and details that Negris Lebrum falls in love with while constructing each season.
