A Wedding Is Coming Soon
On Tuesday night, for the first time ever, Fashion Designer, Victor dE Souza, and his models, walked his bridal collection down the aisle of Vartali Hair Salon on 116 East 57th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan here in New York City.
It was the can’t miss event of New York Bridal Fashion Week with its substantially beautiful gowns ranging from traditional to modern, all made entirely by hand to show off the beauty that is a wedding which could be in your not-too-distant future.
The collection was in many shades of ivory, consisting of luscious fabrics such as brocade, lace, with beading, lace with metal mesh, damask, silk satin, all Victor dE Souza’s clothes are made in New York City, NY.
Color range from white to ecru. Lots of emphasis of the backs of the dress to show off the pretty backs of the young girls getting married.
Pleated backs and smock backs were a big part of the collection, the emphasis of the collection were open back dresses that end at the waist, and met with many low backs connected to full skirts.
For those who don’t see themselves in a traditional wedding gown, Victor dE Souza created pantsuits that were double-breasted blazers with pearl buttons, slim pants colored in white.
Veils were an added feature to Victor dE Souza’s Bridal Collection as it partially covered the face, or the entire face to match the color and theme of each wedding gown, embellished headbands accented gowns heavily reliant on deep neutral colors, visible lace patterns, and heavy texture.
Matching the theme of the after-party attire on the models following the runway show, Victor’s models also showed off cocktail shoes that are made on special order only, custom-made, and made in Italy.
Rounding out the runway presentation on Tuesday night was Victor’s very own silver sequin slip dress adorned with lace at the top of the bodice.
There is nothing frou-frou or tricky to wear in Victor’s Bridal Collection, everything is clean, modern, and simple to wear, the collection consist of classic and tailored silhouettes that are timeless, and styled by Dustin Lujan.
