FASHION SHIELDS SCARS

Informa Markets Fashion revealed the first trend outlook of 2024 with Men’s Trends for fall and winter of 2024-2025, men’s fashion this fall will tap into the ongoing perils of the world as we deal with conflict both globally and here at home, one being the continuing comeback from the COVID-19 pandemic, and finding a glimmer of hope with the looks we wear each season, Men’s Trends FW 24/25 taps into Sentimental, Immersive, Chaos, and Fragility.

SENTIMENTAL

While we continue to adjust to new complex realities in our lives and outside our door, Sentimental reinvigorates traditional designs, parodies of the classics, and recovered craftsmanship with a new idea on maximalism that’s cool modern heirlooms that improve the world, sentimental starts with up-cycling that extends the life of your apparel by repairing them, revisiting older methods of sourcing and production through ancient regenerative agriculture, and movie-like vignette product experiences to escape brutal reality; artistry, novelty, and tactile pieces are helped by a few of many color palettes being twilight, baked pear, thunder, egg yolk, and derecho.

IMMERSIVE

What you see is apparent, what you interpret is not, the traditional norms of fashion continue to be challenged not only by current events, but by social media, and even the digital universe which also promises to bring fashion forecasting down from one year until as early as 2 weeks in proposed forms, the Immersive takes up the question of new ideas inspired by NFT’s, artificial intelligence, a brand-new way to shape silhouettes and dimensions as they morph and adapt in real time; with flexibility and customization at play to be modeled after you and reflect the mood of now instantaneously, Immersive elements include the outerverse, products morphing to new looks, and elemental reaction with colors that include blue palm, limelight, beetroot, fire spark, and immerse.

INFORMA

CHAOS

If there’s one thing that fashion is, it’s responsive, answering the call that a brand’s consumer is in need of distraction, a reason to buy their brand, something to land their troubles on, Chaos responds with one’s desire to belong so one will feel protective, plus tangents such as repaired surfaces, ruptured textures, ashen patterns, fractured construction, brutalist shapes, and industrial craftsmanship in a cafe of discord responding as armor to your complex life; as Chaos stays classic to uncertainty, anti-establishment, and open sourcing, Chaos’s few of many flagship colors include oxblood, heat, black, sundial, thunder, mussel, and java.

FRAGILITY

Though, it’s still not Italian like the ole man thought in the Christmas movie classic, “A Christmas Story”, Fragile, or as this FW 24/25 looks at it, Fragility is a moment of healing and self-care with ascents that help you restore the mental agility of you, a much slower approach found in restorative surfaces, luxurious luster, and steadfast plush designs, setting up the mood for a new level of romance and softness to slowly reveal efficiency through restoration, meandering, and soft shattering of pain we’re currently feeling; with divine feminine, comfort of solitude, and integrative wellness to improve your mental health that declutters the stressors of the world, the colors of few but many in Fragility range at croissant, breathless, sea salt, quietude, sour mint, dusted clay, and pewter.
