This really was a presentation of up-and-coming new designers and artists that make everything by hand. It was held at The Canvas 3.0 gallery in the rebuilt Westfield World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan on February 9, 2024. Since it was NYFW, I interviewed designers that did fashion items along with a designer that did sculptural tea pots along with sugar and creamers.

DOPLWORLD
The founder and designer, Selena Norman’s inspiration for this jewelry collection was from beyond the universe and the unknown out there in space. Vintage jewelry that had withstood the test of time by not breaking or falling apart was another thing that she took into consideration making her line of jewelry. Selena comes from an industrial background and married her passions of vintage, materials and manufacturing to craft her products. Everything is handmade in NYC using natural materials such as sterling silver, fresh water pearls, silk fabric, 14k gold plated on brass. Please go to her website to see many more very wearable creations. Priced from $53.00 – $900.00. For more information, go to WWW.DOPLWORLD.COM.

KE-YI HUANG ATELIER
The lady is an artist and painter. Her Reverie Collection was inspired by living by a river in China. She paints from memory dreamland scenes. The paintings are abstract and play homage to the female form. The scarves, bow accessories and bags are handmade (not seen in my photo) but on the website are silk with prints in pastels and bright colors of her many paintings. Scarves will brighten up any plain black top or can be worn in the neckline of a coat. Bows are a perfect accent to a ponytail. For more information, go to WWW.KYIATELIER.COM.

ARROSE’
A blend of eastern philosophy with western design in these sculptured tea sets. The Atemis collection combines aspects from the Art Nouveau era with contemporary elegance. Flowing lines and curves are what makes this tea set so unusual and beautiful. Styles are tea cups, sugar bowls, carafes, tea pots and tea sets. Everything is 100% made by hand and lined in porcelain on the inside. The outer part is platinum or titanium. Since this is based on Asian tea, the sets contain 2 cups, a sugar bowel and a carafe. Priced from $290.00 for a cup and a tea set goes for $2,730.00. Everything is shipped in padding in a beautiful gift box to keep the pieces in also. These are the perfect pieces to use for when you have company at your home along with cloth tablecloths and napkins. This is the most beautiful tea set I’ve ever seen. These are keepsake pieces meant to be handed down from generation to generation. Hand wash only. To order, visit WWW.ARROSE.NET.
