In a day that was already filled with super fans who love how Olivia Rodrigo hits their cylinders, Olivia Rodrigo doesn’t fail to draw out the tearful vulnerabilities you’re feeling. It’s not enough for Olivia to hit you where you wanna cry, the ever-present beauty of Olivia Rodrigo screams at your boundaries to breakdown and be apart of the utopia Olivia Rodrigo draws in. Olivia on her last night at Madison Square Garden brought out not only “The Breeders”, but Jewel, the original folk storyteller of Gen X who collaborated with Olivia Rodrigo beautifully with “You Were Meant For Me”. Something that touched nostalgically on “DANIEL PLUS LAUREN” since they grew up when Jewel’s song was originally released back in 1997.

It’s hard to understand the hardshell appreciation of GEN Z and their older charm enough already. However, Olivia Rodrigo at every grown up level from her passionate childhood of musicality training into adulthood that makes her an incredible musician hits not only her generation, but older ones at all the levels where they recognize the emotions their older musical influences like Billy Joel and such touch heavily on. Take a trip back in time, as early as 2021 where Olivia Rodrigo touched on the sensitive emotions of her core audience, a time where uncertainty was ever present, a time where we didn’t know what COVID-19 would do next. The end result is a source of healing for many, where many young people missed out on key events of their high school years like prom and graduation, maybe even college. Enter Olivia Rodrigo into the much-needed comfort for this GEN Z while they were suffering, almost like their older counterparts with Vietnam or uncertainty with peace in the 1960’s.

Not only do you have a revisiting of deep guitar notes that hit your senses hard up and down, but a touch of the arousing, infuriating, and intentional AAPI beauty you have thanks to Olivia Rodrigo. Olivia’s musical choices and beauty hit at all generational spectrums, the feel of Olivia is so striking, a soulful ballad of yearning for something more. Olivia Rodrigo hits at you in the deepest and romantic level possible. The touch of Olivia Rodrigo leaves its mark on the young so much as to dedicate an entire promotional campaign on her impact. But ultimately, the crying soulfulness Olivia Rodrigo can’t help but leave hits hard on those who are devoted fans. Plus, it hits hard on devoted fans who’ve been with Olivia Rodrigo since way one, almost as if you’re listening to 1960’s or 1970’s soft and hard rock.
