If you’re looking for a guy in finance, Megan Boni’s got your sauce.

While I can’t guarantee you’ll manifest your finance king just from reading this, what I am guaranteeing is a breakdown of the #songofthesummer and a “light” discussion about why you should even care about some blonde girl on the internet chanting the same four words.

Maybe it will leave you with some ideas that will make you too go viral.

& your king will slide into your DMs.

Win win?

I had to leave that one a question mark because the “man in finance” queen herself is apparently still single, despite the massive success she’s experienced over the last few weeks.

If you’ve been sleeping under a rock, which is incredibly difficult given the fact that this song has gone insanely viral over the last couple of weeks to the point that my 72-year-old boomer dad who has no concept of social media even knows about it from Bloomberg.

It’s damn nearly impossible to have not heard either her original TikTok, a sample someone’s remixed of the song, or some other TikTok/IG reel that someone riffed her song to make their own video, or the song she created with the producers Billen Ted that’s landed her a major record label with Universal Music Group.

That was a mouth full. But I belabored the point so you, the reader, understand the importance of why I’m choosing to brand breakdown this for you today.

It’s that song, right now.

So why should you care?

First off, the song is catchy af.

There’s only four lines to the whole song.

It’s easy to remember and it’s lyrical genius.

It’s a classic play of every song that’s been a one hit wonder up until now.

Cue: Carly Rae Jepson’s 2011 smasher “Call Me Maybe” that had the whole world making parodies, even the Harvard baseball team.

Remember those babes?

Megan, who goes by the social handle Girl On Couch, sung it in a way that mimics every classic hot girl gossip over mimosas or late night parking lot chats with all your single gals.

& no…this is not a green light to snapchat, text, or DM that bro you’ve been flirting with for months you might not have even met IRL who slid into your DMs late one night and hit you with a “u up?”.

No matter how hot he is.

The ultimate importance or message that can be taken from this is… the sky’s the limit.

You never know when your next video will go viral or when the next opportunity will align so that you can quit your day job and get rich off views.

So don’t quit.

Cheers.

PS. here’s my all time favorite “Man in Finance” parody I’ve seen yet. Hit me back if you’ve seen one that’s got you giggling.
