There’s only so much time we have on Earth to embrace the life we’re given. Yes, we don’t know when our time is going to come for life to end, but you can be proactive about prolonging your life. The everyday day norms of longevity include reducing stress, eating right, exercising regulating, and maintaining a healthy body weight. Another key component to prolonging our life is doing things that make us happy and in perfect rhythm to our life’s mission and desires. But there’s true serum out there that can enhance our quality of life as well as increasing our life quantity, its self-care.
Katherine Sempecos, in the quaint downtown hamlet of Roslyn, New York, truly creates a destination for you to tap into a better part of yourself you never knew, it’s the Prism Med Spa. Not too long ago, Art Curator, Debbie Dickinson, who’s a frequent client of Prism Med Spa, interviewed Katherine Sempecos about this second to none experience that DANIEL PLUS LAUREN got to experience not to long ago with such incredible results. I also got to learn that the best place in the world to increase longevity is Greece, and it’s considered the “blue zone” where Katherine wants you to engage more in experiencing the “blue zone”.
THE INTERVIEW WITH KATHERINE
1. What inspired you to create the Med Spa business?
I was an account executive in advertising sales, I had acne scars and was embarrassed. I went to the dermatologist for 2 years to fix, the only solution to her acne in the late 80’s was invasive laser or stay inside. I trained in lasers in Europe (Sweden and U.K.) and then implemented then launching them through “Skin & Body Care Clinic” in Athens, for darker skin types. Back then, I was the first to use Fluorescent Pulsed Light (FPL) lasers for permanent hair removal as well as skin rejuvenation on all skin types.
It was called “Plasmalite” and was used from 2000 to 2016.
When I got to the U.S. in 2013, there was a need for non-invasive laser treatment that didn’t burn the skin doctors had little use or knowledge of FPL lasers that helped to reduce skin burning. I was also the first distributor of Tretinoin, used in Retinol-A for skin Anti-Aging.
2. What gives your company the added edge in the industry?
Experience, Knowledge and Innovative treatment combinations which give the best results, in order for us to become an award-winning spa destination.
3. What are great notable awards and achievements from your company.
Voted “Best Spa in Nassau County” for 10 years from their community. Power Mag’s Top Entrepeneur for 2022 and now also 2024.
4. Initially, what year did you initially start in the Med Spa industry?
Initially started in the Med Spa business in 2000 in Europe and 2014 opened here in Roslyn, NY.
5. What is the PRISM lifestyle, what is their customer?
I treat people from ages 15 to 92. Students and young adults look at hair removal because social media creates awareness. People ages 35 to 50 are young professionals who lack time but always need to look their best, 50 plus people like anti-aging, stem cells for healing, and aesthetic joint pain.
Our stem cell provider, Biogenix, was one of the first stem cell companies to be top providers for the Veterans and the U.S. government.
I was the first establishment on Long Island to be top provider for Veterans.
6. What is your tagline behind the brand?
Our tagline is “Reveal Your Inner Light” so you can “be the best you can be”!
7. Who are your influencers and ambassadors?
Ezequiel De La Rosa, Skye Stracke, Carol Alt, Alex Lindquist, Sophie Sumner, Ashley Haas, Rich Graff.
8. What are the latest trends your market prefers?
Embillical Cord Stem Cells, Exosomes: the protein of stem cells that are the building block of cellular reproduction, and Morpheus8 in combination with Exosomes.
9. How many treatments do you work with and why?
275 services from a simple facial to stem cell therapy, which is the holy grail of aging well.
10. What is it about your business that motivates you?
Love to make people happy and show them what’s possible.
11. How has your talent helped others?
I do charity work for the Spectrum Design and Nicolas Center For Autism. The founder loves making an impact on people.
12. What is your schedule?
My Spa is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
13. What places and sources and events inspire your creativity?
Greece, because it’s a blue zone where people live to 100 years old. We help people create their own blue zone, check out Dan Beuttner’s series “Live to 100” on Netflix.
14. What is your most memorable quote from a client?
“You changed my life”, great Google reviews, and dealt with “Real Housewives of New Jersey”.

Katherine Sempecos is a NY and European licensed Clinical Aesthetician, Medical Laser Technician and official IPL Laser trainer with over 25 years experience. Dr. Maria Levada, has been a leader in the medical community from the beginning of her extensive 40-year Medical career. For the last 20 years, Dr. Levada has specialized in Natural Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy for Men and Women and has perfected the integration of the latest technologies in anti-aging (lasers, injectables, and health optimization) with the most effective nutrition and weight loss methods for improving her patients’ overall health and wellbeing. Vasilis Mezini started out in the medical spa business in Europe and represented aging well products and services, as well as advanced technologies in the EU.
Since coming to the U.S., Vasilis continued promoting and Marketing PRISM’s new technologies and through this, became Co-Owner of PRISM Med Spa.
As our Marketing Director for both Prism Med Spa NY and Posche-Prism Med Spa NJ, Vasilis quickly became a very valuable asset to our company, educating clients about how to achieve quality of life inside and out by implementing the latest in IGS DNA analysis, as well as all external aging well treatments that Prism offers. In 2018, Vasilis became a Certified CRYO therapist, specializing in Sports Medicine and helping athletes, as well as clients experience great pain relief, healing and weight reduction. Vasilis also functions as PRISM’s events coordinator, our ‘go-to’ guy for all promotional and informational events, as well as social media and communications.
Vasilis will also be playing a critical role in launching our new PRISM Transformational Retreats in the Greek Riviera! Integrating Cryotherapy with Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments, as well as combining Blue Zone lifestyle, nutrition and IGS DNA & blood chemistry analysis, he will be one of our main Program Coordinators and Counsellors, beginning in the Summer of 2025.
