LACE EMBRACED

New York City today is where winter 2025 Curve New York takes place, along with fall and winter 2025/26 lingerie trends. This morning’s live panel here at the Javits Center, the ladies were super-excited on how next season’s consumer is ditching its t-shirts and sweats in favor of lace not only with bra and panties, but also with sleepwear. Then we happily take lingerie out of the hands of a few and put it into the growing market of inclusivity. And activewear is no longer just garments you kick high in, there’s a lot more celebration and planning involved.

Browsing through the featured collections celebrating the lace revolution, DANIEL PLUS LAUREN saw the Curve NY trends come to life with matching button down top sleepwear with boy shorts showing off blue art prints having lace embellishment at bottom’s bottom. Then we level up our lace celebration by welcoming back the sleep teddy all in midnight blue, lace is very prevalent on the v-neck along with the edges. The sleepwear evolution continues above night sweats with lace celebrated bra and panties by Entos happening in black and dark sky blue. Then from the House of Desire, burgundy has never been more arousing to slip into with its sleepwear celebration of their teddy having built in bra cups, plus slightly discreet thongs to match.

Continuing on lace intimates at bedtime are Lise Charmel who shows off her black lace with mesh v-neck bra with high-waisted full-bottom panties in the same manner. Then there’s Floruisse who takes a more solid approach with lace designed bra and lace side designed panties all colored in mauve, made with thicker comfortable material without showing off too much. The lace bed time revolution truly comes in its purest form with a big blue satin nightgown accompanied by white lace design beautifully placed along the chest, torso, and at the bottom of the sleeves. All Curve NY designers on the display main stage as you walk in celebrate sleepwear done creatively through lace, as well as prints, plus give new innovative ways to celebrate bra and panty with new tech fabric, and now lace more than ever, especially now that GEN Z wants style.

INCLUSIVITY

Sitting down, taking in every buying habit for consumers here at Curve NY, there’s one trend we have welcomed into our collections at this point, it’s being inclusive. You are now at a finality that you must sell to all body types, you can no longer design for just bodies at size 0 or size 4. The intimates industry finally reads that if your consumer base does not like something, they will not buy it. That means you have to make sexy lingerie for bodies that have more shape on them, give them a reason to buy your brand because it makes them feel special. Plus, all your inclusive lingerie you now have on your portfolio must also be comfortable to wear. Bottom line, there’s one key aspect you as a brand must have with all the consumers you design for, accessibility.

ACTIVEWEAR

Every photo and video on social media doesn’t lie, women are just plainly obsessed with exercise, if not just showing off their leggings and sports bra. Curve NY draws the conclusion that women and activewear have more of a deeper connection than most looking cute. It’s all about telling your friends, family, and followers the progress you’ve made from doing yoga, pilates, weights, and so on. Yes, personal body progress is super-important, but it’s the durability of your activewear that has tremendous weight. Other ladies you’re showing off to or even the instructor you’re taking class with wanna know where you got your bra top from, and it could be something you’ve worn for more than several years. Sustainability, this time found in good quality fabric and the desire to invest in yourself do tremendous body conditioning for your soul. And that envious sports bra on you doesn’t just live in the gym, it’s out on the street doing errands.

CONCLUSION

As you’ve seen from all the trend forecasts seen here on DANIEL PLUS LAUREN, there’s a real awakening finally happening with GEN Z. Instead of remaining cozy in t-shirts and sweatpants, ladies have been inspired to take up sexy sleepwear of all kinds, gifting lace a new young lease on life. And most importantly, it’s giving lingerie brands new optimism about the future. It’s not just a select small size of ladies who want in on the lace revolution, these new phases in fashion are celebrated by all sizes, meeting the need to be inclusive. And while we embrace inclusivity, we’re also celebrating personal fitness goals, showing off a change in our body composition, we well as the high-end activewear we’ve put considerable money in. Because it’s one thing we’re striving for nowadays, it’s cute, sexy, and it’s built to last.
