Blue’s Always A Good Choice
Zang Toi presented his “Brilliant Royal Blue” F/W 2017 collection on February 13th during New York Fashion Week at Pier 59 Studios.
Zang Toi himself says he wants to make a statement with the color “Brilliant Royal Blue” this season, saying that it’s a well-edited luxurious, glamorous collection featuring razor sharp tailored sportswear and grand entrance evening looks.
Winter White, Navy, Black and Royal Blue were rendered through Loro Piana Cashmere Zibeline, and Couture Silk Velvet and Silk Taffeta were resonated with the regal and glamorous looks Zang Toi had in mind.
Guests in attendance were Kimberly Guilfoyle, Bill Hemmer, Greg Kelly, Sonja Morgan, William and Julie Macklowe, Jean Shafiroff, Eric Villency, Charles Rockefeller, Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beloserkovsky, James Warhola and Carol Alt.
Zang Toi is also collaborating with BeautybyRudy to create the “Brilliant Royal Blue” eyeliner and rich berry lips using make up from Ubati New York, and flawless skin will be achieved by skincare products from Pevonia.
Zang Toi’s design house is also partnering with Perfect365, a digital makeup app where users can see the makeup looks as the models hit the runway.
Adopting products from Macadamia Professional, Eiji Salon will create sleek yet sophisticated chignons.
Dear Sundays is creating stunning nail design using matte black and lacquered royal blue polish.
The collection also features booties and evening stilettos by Zang Toi Heels, the number one selling shoe collection in Malaysia, and Shop LC will provide regal jewelry to complete the look.
