More Real Each Day

Natalie Xenita, Executive Director of IMG Fashion Events Asia-Pacific, announced tonight that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2020 will not take place this year, which all came down as the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee mandated against holding non-essential, organized public gatherings of more than 500 people in light of global health concerns regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The decision was made after careful consideration, as the health and safety of everyone involved remains their top priority, as the cases of coronavirus increase by the hour, and restrictions come on hard and faster than imaginable.

This edition of MBFWA was suppose to be the 25th year, on the heels of its silver anniversary, MBFWA organizers went out of their way to thank designers, producers, partners, and staff for their support of the Australian fashion community, and look forward to celebrating their true 25th anniversary in 2021.
