Today, Variety reported that the EIF (Entertainment Industry Foundation) has created a special fund for those affected by COVID-19, it’s the Coronavirus Response Fund, providing financial relief to entertainment industry workers affected by coronavirus-related shutdowns.

Through their disaster response program, Music for Relief, EIF has established the COVID-19 Response Fund to address the ongoing and evolving challenges presented by this emergency.

Fund will primarily provide relief to people in the entertainment industry who are most vulnerable to the effects of this economic crisis caused by coronavirus, additional funds will support the public health response to the threat posed by COVID-19, including the prevention, detection, and treatment of new cases of COVID-19.

You can immediately donate to this found at the 6 set amounts, or enter your own amount which will be a welcomed relief for those financially paralyzed because of coronavirus, who depend on production of TV and films for a paycheck and medical insurance.

Dr. Phil McGraw has recorded radio spots created by EIF for more than 12,000 radio stations to air, and at the request of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation, Rosie O’ Donnell on Sunday night held her own benefit to help out those on Broadway who are unemployed thanks to coronavirus.
