The Stage On Screen
The Great White Way that could also be Times Square, a.k.a. Broadway, is getting a life-preserver of sorts, at least from PBS, when Filmed On Stage reported today that PBS will offer free streaming of their Broadway on stage programs of “Great Performances” and “Live From Lincoln” for a limited time.
Fans of Broadway who are missing out on New York’s famed stage, as well as touring shows, and even local theater productions, can satisfy their appetite for Broadway shows with unlimited performances from PBS’s popular stage on TV shows up until May 27.
The idea of live-streaming Broadway was floated by yours truly (Daniel plus Lauren) when Broadway was first closed by COVID19, even a benefit by Rosie O’ Donnell was done last Sunday evening to benefit The Actor’s Fund.
