Our Country Needs You Now

Once again, the veins of Broadway have defected to the web for a mini-performance, reports Variety today, this time it was on John Krasinski’s second episode of his web series, “Some Good News”, with the cast of “Hamilton” surprising a young fan who missed out on seeing the wildly popular musical because of COVID19.

Aubrey is the girl’s name who lost out on seeing “Hamilton” front and center on Broadway once the great white row got shutdown last month as more coronavirus cases were popping up, and the WHO declared COVID19 a pandemic.

John also gifted Aubrey with a trip to New York City to see “Hamilton” live on stage once it’s safe to do so again.

Live-streaming has become a flat out lifeline to Broadway ever since Broadway has been closed, “Dear Evan Hansen” did a surprise performance with James Corden last week, and National Theatre and Andrew Lloyd Webber have seen over one million views on YouTube with their archived stage performances.
