“In The Heights” finalized a new release date today from its original June 26, 2020 date that was eradicated thanks to stay-at-home orders to stop the spread of COVID19, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the new date will be 51 weeks later from the original date, June 18, 2021.

Director, Jon M. Chu, agonized he had many sleepless nights about when “In The Heights” would be released, but was relieved that it had a new date that is safe post COVID19, even if it means waiting one year longer, and not accepting a 10 year journey where “In The Heights” is released in an empty theater, because Jon feels it deserves a theater experience.

It was recommended by Daniel plus Lauren that “In The Heights” get a streaming release much sooner if theaters ended up not in the cards, just like another Warner Bros. movie, “Birds Of Prey”, or another movie of the WB that is “Scoob”, which will now debut on digital platforms.
