The King Can Wait

“MJ”, the Michael Jackson musical, originally scheduled to open July 6, 2020 on Broadway, has been pushed back to spring 2021 thanks to COVID19, with the new date for preview shows scheduled to start March 8, 2021, reported today by Variety.

The broadway musical, which would embody the long-living legacy that Michael Jackson left on the music industry, as well as the world of dance, and pop culture, which makes Michael Jackson the king of pop, will immediately issue refunds to ticket buyers for the original 2020 performances.

The pushback to spring 2021 comes as the Broadway League announced on Tuesday that Broadway will be closed 3 months longer, all the way to Labor Day Weekend, being September 6.
