Losses Unimaginable

Madison Square Garden Entertainment, the owner of famed venues like Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre, Variety reported devastating revenue losses today in its last quarter, all thanks to the last 3 weeks of the quarter that were dramatically affected by COVID19, a loss of 20 percent, equally $199.9 million compared to last year under more fruitful times.

Though, these losses were astronomical from a short period alone, it’s nothing compared to the losses still coming on Broadway, as it’s now extended its shutdown all the way to Labor Day at least, with Broadway figures seeing this shutdown go all the way till next year.

Broadway has already seen its first causality with an existing production going dark after so long, Disney’s “Frozen, The Musical”, announced last Thursday its closing thanks to COVID19.
