Equinox announced late Wednesday afternoon that their second-to-none indoor fitness classes will be making a comeback this Monday to all of its New York City and other New York State locations at 33 percent capacity, with health screening and contact information required, plus allowing additional time for cleaning and disinfecting in-between classes.
This comes as Governor Andrew Cuomo rules against New York City Mayor, Bill DiBlasio, who’s kept indoor fitness classes from resuming because of the pandemic, while gyms as a whole were allowed to reopen, Cuomo made the announcement in his Wednesday morning press conference.
Equinox resumed gym operations last September in New York City after being closed for 5 and a half months early in the pandemic, Equinox also added “In The Wild” outdoor fitness spots in both Hudson Yards and California for those who are more comfortable doing their workout outdoors to protect themselves against COVID19.
