Taylor Saves Us All, Thank You Barbara Walters

Taylor Swift, for all the groundbreaking headways she’s made as a pop artist, musician, songwriter, and a businesswoman, the last aspect mentioned proves indeed to be the most crowning, and the most powerful accomplishment according to Billboard today as Taylor is the first and only artist by far to make the Billboard Power 100, a list normally reserved for music powerbrokers, music platform owners, and music CEO’s.

Hands down, Taylor Swift unapologetically sent a message to regular attendees of this power list by simply saying to look outside the industry they lead for new ideas, take chances where you need to, be smart about it, keep a watchful eye on the sharks of streaming, the thievery and now danger of A.I., and social media platforms like TikTok who want to lowball artists out of compensation, which Taylor’s current home, Universal Music Group, has threaten to pull their artist’s music from TikTok, if they don’t address artist compensation.

Taylor Swift’s music, wisdom, and business sense have proven to be the most organic and sage advice to come in an industry which heavily relies on metrics and data analysis, A.I. could also be entered into this conversation; if it’s not used to benefit the artist the way it should as DANIEL PLUS LAUREN sees it in this bookend semi-colon quip; Taylor Swift took risk that paid off, defying industry skeptics or those chastising that Taylor’s idea have never been done before, leading Taylor to be fired up more.

Apparently, the drive, tenacity, and gut instinct of Taylor Swift has rewarded her back hard to say the least, leading to crowning recognition by Time magazine to name Taylor Swift their 2023 Person Of The Year, and ERAS Tour with revenue nearly $1 billion so far and on track to be the highest grossing tour ever, an “ERAS Tour Film”, Golden Globe and People’s Choice Awards nomination, and “ERAS Tour Film” grossing higher than Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”.
