Debbie’s depths touched on mitigating issues such as anger, stress, fear, self-assurance, and innocence. Bill Buchman

To understand the beautiful use of oil and acrylics on canvas, you’ve got to know Bill Buchman. Here in “Midnight Symphony”, Bill utilizes his extraordinary work as a musician to tap into the euphoric atmosphere happening at zero hour. Surrounded by perimeters of blue which represent this time of night, Bill taps into the optimistic world one feels if they’re dancing, singing, or out with friends. A multiple use of yellow surely represents happiness the brain is going through while encountering solid blocks of color to pose as an experience.

Cosmo Mullican

Feelings are very concrete, there’s no denying or interpreting why one is angry. Cosmo Mullican paints one’s feelings on wood to cement where a person’s emotions are without lie. Here in “Split Brain”, Cosmo shows you a normal brain at work amongst scientists. You also see sides of the brain not usually addressed, where cortexes and cerebral action is at work. The brain is a delicate instrument, and it must be cared for very carefully, mental health is not only reserved for the operating table.

David Richardson

Though it’s controversial for being so limited, innocence plays a vital role in our development. In David Richardson’s “Yellow Roses still in Cellophane”, preservation is key. Protecting the most important organ in your body being the brain comes at very important decisions you make with your thoughts, reasoning, and self-respect. Feeding too many negative aspects on your body, as well as the brain can easily tear away at the protective layer that is your mind. Colorful uses of oil on canvas illustrates very clearly on keeping your flowers fresh, flowers being the parts of your cerebral.

Evan Sebastian Lagache

There’s no telling about what we as human beings can do if we put our mind to it. It goes without saying since we’ve left the 80’s and 90’s when great achievements were being accomplished in many ways. We train ourselves everyday to do something new and challenging, and we overcome doubts we surely have at the beginning. Evan Sebastian Lagache takes it a step further “And Beyond” with his use of acrylics and spray paint to emphasize journeys we’ve yet to imagine. The color waves of blue apparently represent the brain waves that are constantly active when we make a discovery of a pink infused object.

Frank Mann

Reality is a hard thing to accept, because the outcome is not something we desired. The reality of the situation doesn’t have to define what’s in front of you, you have the power to change reality. Frank Mann takes the black spots that are our hard realities to inject some much-needed optimism through imagination and science. Imagination represents optimism as we see streams of yellow to see a much better outcome. And all the gray areas are not to be confused with gray areas of issues in question, they are instead the engineering taking place to create a more optimistic reality. Right above reality is Frank Mann’s passionate work of “Glint”. This is a clear artistic view of the human eye as Frank visualized it. The human eye is more than just a pupil also known as an eyeball, mechanics are involved when engineering your ability to see. You’ve got circular strands that flatly represent the eye for the average Joe. However, sides that represent ducts in visible white eye color all are working simultaneously to help you deliver healthy sight for every breath you take.

Marc Bouwer

Who is the human being without playing a little poker? Emotions are the engine that drives our story upon others, whether it’s truth or deception. The public eye is a good example of how we want to see our celebrities, we get to see their raw emotion if they’re not well-coordinated with their publicist. Marc Bouwer with his paintings of “Look What You Did” and “Blue Haired Brother” expresses without a card game the anguish one woman may feel in a variety of ways, whether it’s shock or in blood. Then, we can go back and use those same oils Marc uses on canvas and create a look of self-assurance, being at ease with your mind.

Mary Reid

If there’s any best form of inspiration that you can draw to at any moment, it’s looking at key figures who changed history. Mary Reid on the surface uses “Charity” and “Curiosity” to represent women who are mentally strong and tough. But going deeper, these trailblazing women are telepathically communicating with you. They communicate not only leadership of tomorrow, but are talking to you about the history they’ve made. Mary Reid wants you to find a purpose as a ways and means to preserve your purpose, the best medicine for the brain.

Rick Secen

Go outside and sit on a bench, where do you find yourself? Possibly waiting for a bus or train to come, taking you to places you need to go, and places you’ve never seen before along the way. The oils on canvas for Rick Secen with “Platform” is to illustrate a short-haired blond woman on a cold winter day looking toward the right. It’s possible she’s waiting for a train, she also looks on wondering what’s next. What’s next for this concerned woman could be the next chapter in her life, desperately wanting to get her new life started, it all comes down to the train arriving on the platform.

Tina Salvesen

Between the night and the morning, there’s only one thing that you can do, sleep. You can go through an out of body experience while you are dreaming. Tina Salvesen with her graphite work on Yupa paper of “Reverie” and “Rapture” flies you into a moment of subconsciousness that is ever present. Your body becomes paralyzed to experience the moment you see while you’re sound asleep, and living that first sleep cycle while you are awake.

Anthony Haden-Guest

At some point, there’s only one way to face your fatal flaws, reveal them. With watercolors and ink on paper, Anthony Haden-Guest uses his words to solve’s life dilemmas by not solving them. It’s simple, just admit your flaws and half of your life’s problems will be solved. Trying to change someone for the better can only make their behavior worse, also worsen your mental state because you’ve exhausted your resources to fight.

Conclusion

With her love for art as a curator, Debbie Dickinson raises awareness about the “Cerebral” part of our body, the brain. Debbie loves her group of artists with endearing hearts of humanity, Debbie cannot stress enough the importance of mental health. Art is the first step for any human being to heal from any type of mental health issue they may be afflicted from. If you are not liberated from what is affecting your well-being, then your “Cerebral” will only deteriorate further along with the physical part of you. It is absolutely vital to not let common problems big or small hold us back from who we truly are and be successful. Making the hard decision to be restricted no more, makes the path to your mental well-being a whole lot easier.
