Tiler Peck, who’s one of the most highly regarded dancers and choreographers of the New York City Ballet, dug deep to People today about Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” music video. Though, relatively a slow song, Tiler had to teach her dancers to move at 1.6 times the speed of the song to match the pace of the video. Yet, in slo-mo. And of course, the hectic inherited pace and feel of Central Park here in New York City.

A few little quirks and demands was that Tiler wanted her NYC Ballet girls to be used, not anyone else who doesn’t understand. Plus, NYCB dyed their tutus pink as a lasting memento. Tiler Peck couldn’t be more thrilled to make real and accurate ballet work for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” making ballet in the most real way possible.
