There are 3 levels of fall within aspects of food (or mainly fruit), the aroma of turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, the ever-popular fruit that is the pumpkin which spreads its versatility around in many ways, and another fall fruit that easily gets overlooked which is the apple, Lauren Conrad’s foodie, Claire Thomas, today has great autumn apple recipes.
Over at The Kitchy Kitchen from Claire herself comes the big tarte tatin containing 10 to 12 pink lady apples alone for the sweet and tartiness that’s mixed with vanilla bean, butter and sugar while the vanilla cake by itself are 6 tablespoons of apple juice, one cup of all purpose flour, half a teaspoon of double acting baking powder, a quarter teaspoon of salt, two thirds of white sugar, one teaspoon of vanilla, and 2 whole eggs with instruction to make this big luscious juicy and fruity cake.
With the tarte tatin, you want to have a nice drink with it, the apple tart punch, now this can be a nice family drink for the kids to have too, but it would have to be without Irish Whiskey, applejack, benedictine, or angostura bitters with sparkling apple cider, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup, just san the alcohol and make it hot or cold for the kiddies (but use true apple cider) for the kids version.
The candy and caramel apple have given into the trends of the times, presenting blush candied apples that almost looks like white chocolate in pink, but it’s just white sugar, light corn syrup, water, white and pink gel food coloring, and candy apple sticks.
