It Starts Small
The United States Department of Labor came out with another jobs report today, this time for the month of March, which shows the initial start of job loss when COVID19 was first realized, the nation had 701,000 fewer jobs, which raised the unemployment rate to 4.4 percent, after showing continued unprecedented growth, and the rate only being at 3.5 percent back on the February report.
The March report also notes that even though 701,000 is the first time job loss has occurred in a while, the numbers are not as staggering as the weekly 6.6 million unemployment claims released on Thursday, because the March jobs report only recorded up to March 12, but noted that April’s job report will record a much more significant job loss.
