A Girl Has Got To Eat

For every theater production that’s on New York’s Broadway, the show can’t go on because of crowd restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus, but thanks to an agreement reached tonight with the Broadway League and other unions, those who work these shows can have their money flow go on for a little bit longer, reports Variety.

Broadway employees will receive pay and insurance while all Broadway shows are closed, which is due to be until April 12 at least, leaders of this Broadway relief act are very pleased and grateful they can provide some relief to the Broadway community in this unprecedented time, and can’t wait for this crisis to pass so the show can go on with Broadway once again.

Unions such at IATSE have been lobbying hard to the United States Congress for entertainment workers to be included in the stimulus package that President Trump has created for those affected by COVID19.

And Rosie O’ Donnell will be holding a star-studded benefit Sunday evening via livestream on Broadway.com to raise money for actors affected by the coronavirus shutdown, which was first floated around by yours truly (Daniel plus Lauren) in a succession of articles leading up to the idea.
